MILAN — New-car sales in Italy rose 5.4 percent to 110,976 in September, data from the country’s car importers association UNRAE showed.
Fiat remained the top-selling brand, with registrations up 8 percent to 14,268, followed by VW, whose sales fell 12 percent to 8,346.
No. 3 was Toyota, whose volume jumped 48 percent to 8,252.
Through September, sales in Italy fell 16 percent to 976,055.
