Buckle Up For A Heart-Pumping 7-Minute Motorcycle Police Chase In Brazil | Carscoops
You won’t believe the part where they climb stairs

by Stephen Rivers
Police on motorcycles often get a wrap for being little more than traffic citation agents but one video we’ve just spotted shows where they excel. In this video that’s over seven minutes in length, one officer in Brazil manages to keep up with a fleeing suspect on a motorcycle of their own. Deep in the heart of a city, it includes everything you’d expect from a Hollywood blockbuster short of an actual explosion.
Very little is known about the video but we don’t think that takes away from how wild it is from start to finish. When the film kicks off we’re already deep in the action with both the officer and the fleeing suspect narrowly slipping between cars in traffic. Less than two minutes in, the suspect is dipping into oncoming lanes to create distance.
He is deeply unsuccessful because whoever the officer he’s running from is even better on a bike. Speeds don’t seem to eclipse 50 mph (82 km/h) or so based on the officer’s dash. Nevertheless, the chase ends up leading into alleyways, back onto busy roads, and then back into tight back streets.

Perhaps no moment in the entire video is more impressive though than about seven minutes in when the suspect literally climbs a flight of stairs with his motorcycle. And yes, the police officer also climbs the stairs on his motorcycle. It might have been his first time though as he seems to look back in total disbelief at what just happened.
We’ll let you watch til the end to see how it all shakes out but we promise that it’s worth a watch. Here’s one spoiler though. Now that we’ve thought about it, this film is indeed missing one more thing we’d expected: not a single fruit cart gets destroyed at any point.
