A forklift driver in China is likely polishing up the resume after dropping a professional oven on the hood of a Ferrari. Fortunately, the car was parked, so injuries are likely contained to any trouble that occurred after the incident.
Originally shared on the Chinese social media app Weibo, and then to Twitter, there is little context surrounding the incident. However, at a glance, it would appear that the forklift attempting to drive around the parked Ferrari when its load became unbalanced.
As one Twitter commentor wrote, the load in question appears to be a professional oven, and potentially even a pizza oven, which would make it ironic that the equipment designed for Italy’s most famous dishes has caused injury to one of the Mediterranean country’s most famous cars.

The footage of the incident that we found shows the vehicle with the oven still on its hood, making it hard to determine precisely how extensive the damage has been. However, it would appear that the front-end of the Ferrari is lower than the rear, suggesting that the oven is quite heavy. It is also made of metal, and that’s not a good combination, as far as avoiding damage to paint and body work goes.
All appearances imply that the damage is reasonably limited to the hood and, perhaps, the front bumper. Since the F8 Tributo likely wasn’t in motion, and the oven only had so far to fall, the damage may be contained enough to repair.

Nevertheless, while internet videos suggest that accidents involving forklifts can be pretty bad, it’s hard to imagine a mistake that would make you feel worse in the moment. We can only hope that this isn’t the driver’s boss’s car, because this feels like grounds for dismissal.
