Distracted driving is a serious issue, but text messages weren’t to blame in New Castle, Indiana earlier this month.  Quite the opposite as a 39-year-old was flashing motorists.

Citing police, Fox 59 is reporting a woman decided to have a little post Valentine’s Day fun by exposing herself to drivers.  Some of them called police, who responded to the liquor store where the incident was occurring.

Officers approached the woman, who reportedly admitted to flashing drivers and said she did it because “it’s fun.”  That presumably didn’t go over well, but it didn’t stop the woman from “exposing her breasts … and rubbing them together while standing in front of the officers.”

Instead of suggesting she start an OnlyFans, police arrested the woman for public indecency.  When authorities asked if she was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, she reportedly responded “I wish.”

While the woman was initially taken to jail, the station reports she was eventually transported to a local hospital for “medical clearance.”  There, she allegedly tried to flee and ended up having to be handcuffed to a bed.

The incident surely raised eyebrows, but distracted driving is no laughing matter as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration notes it claimed 3,142 lives in 2020.  While phones are most commonly associated with distracted driving, the government notes it also includes “eating and drinking, talking to people in your vehicle, fiddling with the stereo, entertainment or navigation system – anything that takes your attention away from the task of safe driving.”  That also includes staring at a flasher, although those are something you don’t see every day.
