Pour One Out For The First Known GR Corolla Crash | Carscoops
Details are light but pictures say a few thousand words

We all knew this day was coming and sadly, it’s here. The very first documented Toyota GR Corolla Crash is slowly but surely making the rounds online. The details are sparse but the photos tell the tale of a drive gone wrong and one less GR Corolla up for grabs.
First posted over on GRCorollaForum, the wrecked GR Corolla you see here is believed to be the first known of its kind. With 300 hp (223 kW) on tap and a clever AWD system inspired by rally, it’s no wonder that new owners across the nation might get a little wild with this hot hatch. For at least the driver of this GR Corolla, things got a little too wild.
This wasn’t just some sort of fender bender or drift gone slightly awry it seems. No, this GR Corolla looks like it must have rolled since the driver’s side mirror is broken off and the roof has a sizable dent in it. Either it rolled or maybe a meteor hit it from above, we can only guess.

Despite the extensive photos of the interior and exterior damage, we don’t yet have any real information about how the accident happened. We also don’t know where it was or the condition of those inside the car at the time of the crash. It seems as though it’s out in the middle of a fairly wide open desert but even that could be wrong.
Questions about how exactly this accident happened aren’t the only ones we have either. Now that there’s a very-much-totaled GR Corolla on the planet, what’s going to happen to it next? We’re for sure going to keep our eyes on all of the major salvage sites for this Toyota. Will a totaled GR Corolla command an out-of-this-world premium? We can’t wait to find out.
