Being able to gauge how wide your car is is a very important skill that drivers should be able to master. If not, hilarious incidents like this can occur.
The following stuff-up recently occurred on the beautiful Greek island of Santorini when a tourist rented a white Nissan Micra and set about on an adventure. Unfortunately, this adventure quickly turned sour as the driver managed to wedge the car between two walls down a very narrow street.
A picture of the stranded Micra quickly gained traction on social media and leaves us with more questions than answers. Anyone with their head screwed on correctly would be able to see from 50 feet away that the gap between these two walls would be a tight squeeze for even the smallest of vehicles but evidently, the driver didn’t notice and continued to drive forward until they couldn’t get any further.

A local publication by the name of Santorini Secrets reports that the rental car office that owns the vehicle was alerted to the incident. It also appears as though the person behind the wheel ditched the car and left on foot, seemingly having to climb out from the rear hatch while likely feeling more than a little embarrassed.
Obviously, the sides of the Nissan will have sustained some deep and ugly scratches but it’s not just the car that’s been damaged. The white walls that have helped make Santorini so famous will have also been damaged and may need to be repaired and/or repainted.
