Classic American cars don’t get much more iconic than a first-generation Chevrolet Corvette. However, due to a mishap on a transporter, this beloved classic has been damaged and may no longer grace the roads in its original condition.

This shocking video that was discovered by Corvetteblogger making the rounds on social media. It starts fairly innocently, showing the transporter slowly letting the cream-colored Corvette roll onto the loading and unloading ramp of the truck.

However, as the ramp was at a small decline, the 1962 Corvette begins to build momentum and before long, it is rolling backward and is completely out of control. All the car transporter can say is “Oh no, no, no, no, no, f**k,” as he watches on hopelessly as the ‘Vette falls right off the ramp. The operator may have had time to reach into the cabin to pull the parking brake but he didn’t.

It’s likely that the fall has caused significant mechanical damage to the Chevy. If the frame has been bent, then the car may be rendered useless until it can be repaired or fitted with a new frame. Additionally, the rear bumper and tailgate have also sustained damage, and there’s a high probability that vital suspension components have been destroyed as well.

This isn’t our first time seeing a car falling off a car transporter like this and it won’t be the last. A couple of years ago, a black Jaguar F-Type Roadster rolled right off the back of the truck that was carrying it, eventually rolling into a Chevrolet Silverado and a Nissan GT-R.
